People with Hashimoto’s usually complain about their disturbed sleeping pattern. It was observed that throughout the day they usually feel weak and tired and then the fatigue will increase or even continue till the late evening and they would want to just sleep and rest for a while but since they want to have a proper sleep they will push of till another few hours around 10 or so, but by then they would find a sudden surge of energy which wouldn’t let them sleep till past midnight.
Our stress glands or adrenal are supposed to make stress hormones like cartisol which are supposed to give us energy throughout the day and let us rest at night but there are people who have opposite condition altogether.
It is told that the imbalances in the hormones are just the beginning of Hashimoto’s or other autoimmune diseases. The first ever case reported was in 19th century! Grave’s disease was found in a woman and it was discovered after her accident, it was reported that she developed grave’s due to increased stress.
Stress is the major reason behind both Grave’s and Hashimoto’s though former develop faster than the latter, but stress is the root cause behind the birth of these autoimmune disorder. The hormones are imbalanced and cartisol is also creating trouble.
This all can be resolved but for that you have to pattern your sleep, go to the bed the earliest, your sleeping place should be without any disturbance like light and sound. Check for any food sensitivity in your body and other many causes behind Hashimoto’s. It is of great importance to push all the triggering sources of stress away but again some have to be accepted for example traffic.
Patients should always be positive and not let the stress weaken them, if bad traffic is triggering them then put up some CD and listen to songs or listen audio books not let the negativity disturb you and make the most out of it because you can. Enjoy the weak time and make it your strength!
It depends on the person themselves as well, they have to take out various forms of remedy, exercise is one of them. Do some yoga and be active and lot the stress over power you!
